The Griffin Armament Optimus Micro is a modular .22LR suppressor built to handle far more than just rimfire plinking. This compact, versatile can redefines what you can expect from a .22 suppressor by supporting everything from .22 LR and .22 WMR out of the box all the way up to centerfire cartridges like .223/5.56mm, .22-250, and .224 Valkyrie—depending on your mounting setup and barrel length. Whether you're running it on a bolt-action .22 rifle, a 5.7mm pistol, or threading it onto a 14.5-inch 5.56mm barrel, the Optimus Micro adapts to your rig without compromise.

Built from heat-treated 17-4 stainless steel throughout, the Optimus Micro uses Griffin's patented HEDP interlocking baffle technology to deliver sound reduction that actually performs while resisting the wear that comes with sustained use. The patent-pending dual-taper locking front caps mean you won't worry about the can walking off during aggressive shooting sessions. At just 8.5 ounces and 5.3 inches in its standard direct-thread configuration, it's compact enough not to burden your rifle's balance, yet engineered tough enough to handle centerfire duty when mounted via taper or 3-lug adapter.

The suppressor ships ready to thread onto 1/2x28 hosts and includes five baffles, an end cap, lock ring, direct-thread mount, manual, and a microfiber pouch. Want to run 3-lug or taper-mount configurations? Those interfaces are sold separately, but they unlock support for larger centerfire calibers and different mounting platforms—giving you years of flexibility as your firearms collection grows.

Frequently Asked Questions

What calibers does the Optimus Micro support?

Out of the box with the included 1/2x28 direct-thread mount, the Optimus Micro handles .22 LR, .22 WMR, 17 HMR, 5.7mm (no barrel restrictions), and centerfire rounds including .22 Hornet and .223/5.56mm (14.5-inch barrel minimum). With optional taper-mount or 3-lug accessories, you unlock support for larger cartridges like .22-250, .224 Valkyrie, .224 Weatherby Magnum, and more, each with specific barrel-length requirements.

Can I use the Optimus Micro on a 5.56mm rifle?

Yes, in direct-thread configuration it's rated for .223/5.56mm on barrels 14.5 inches or longer. For shorter 5.56mm barrels (12.5 inches), you'll need to use the optional taper-mount configuration.

What mounting options are available for the Optimus Micro?

The suppressor ships with a 1/2x28 direct-thread mount ready to use. Griffin also offers optional 3-lug and taper-mount interfaces (sold separately) that expand compatibility to additional host firearms and calibers. The 3-lug kit works with Griffin's modular mounting ecosystem, and taper mounts unlock centerfire capability on platforms like short-barrel 5.56mm rifles and larger cartridges.

What's included in the box?

The Optimus Micro ships with the tube body, end cap, lock ring, five baffles, 1/2x28 direct-thread mount, user manual, and protective microfiber pouch. Optional 3-lug kits, taper-mount interfaces, and Griffin taper mounts are sold separately.
