The Griffin MK1 Rifle Patrol is a 5.56 NATO carbine purpose-built for shooters who need a reliable, unfussy rifle that works right out of the box. Chambered in 5.56 NATO with a 16-inch barrel, this tactical rifle cuts through the marketing noise and delivers genuine capability—whether you're running drills at the range, training for precision work, or deploying it as a dependable patrol or duty platform. Griffin Armament engineered the MK1 series around a simple philosophy: include what works, leave out what doesn't. You get a carbine that runs suppressed or unsuppressed, with a gas system tuned for soft, predictable recoil and an overall weight of 7 pounds that won't wear you out during long days in the field.

Every component on the MK1 Patrol comes from Griffin. The 416R stainless steel barrel is paired with Griffin's enhanced bolt carrier group, forged upper and lower receivers with Type 3 hardcoat anodizing, and an ambidextrous safety selector and charging handle (the SN-ACH is specifically optimized for suppressor use). The fire control features Griffin's A3 grip and enhanced trigger guard, while the buffer system and receiver extension are designed to normalize the gun's behavior when running a suppressor. You'll also find a low-profile rail system, RailShield panel set for heat and snag management, a pinned Primo gas block, and Griffin's silencer mount muzzle device.

This isn't a tricked-out race gun or a minimalist budget build—it's a thinking shooter's rifle that handles the work you actually do. The combination of suppressor-optimized tuning, quality internal components, and thoughtful ergonomic touches means you spend less time troubleshooting and more time shooting. If you're looking for a 5.56 tactical rifle that pairs reliability with no-nonsense design, the Griffin MK1 Patrol deserves a close look.

Frequently Asked Questions

Is the Griffin MK1 Patrol optimized for use with a suppressor?

Yes. Griffin designed this rifle with suppressor use in mind: the buffer system and receiver extension are called "suppressor normalized" to keep the gun running consistently whether you're using a suppressor or not. The included muzzle device is also a silencer mount, and the SN-ACH charging handle is labeled suppressor-optimized.

What's included in the box?

The MK1 Patrol ships as a complete, assembled rifle. It includes the barrel, bolt carrier group, receivers, charging handle, safety selector, stock, grip, rail system with RailShield panels, gas block, muzzle device, and dimpled takedown pins. It is ready to shoot out of the box.

Does this rifle work with standard AR-15 parts and accessories?

The MK1 Patrol is built on standard AR-15 platform architecture, so it should accept commonly available AR-compatible rail-mounted accessories. For questions about specific parts compatibility, contact Bosque Outdoors directly.

What gas system does the Griffin MK1 Patrol use?

The rifle features a mid-length gas system that Griffin has tuned specifically for this carbine to provide soft, reliable recoil suppressed or unsuppressed.
