The Great Lakes Firearms AR-15 in .223 Wylde is a versatile, semi-automatic rifle built for shooters who want flexibility without compromise. Chambered in .223 Wylde, this 16-inch rifle handles both .223 Remington and 5.56 NATO ammunition, giving you options at the range or in the field. At 6.8 lbs with an overall length of 33.25 inches, it balances maneuverability with a practical barrel length suited to tactical, competition, or general-purpose shooting.

Built around a 7075 aluminum upper and lower receiver, the rifle features a 16-inch heavy barrel (HBAR) with a 1:8 twist rate and 1/2 x 28 muzzle threads. The barrel is available in either 416 stainless steel or 4150 CRMOV with nitride finish, paired with a carbine-length gas system and 0.750 gas block. The rifle comes finished in ODG Cerakote, giving it a tough, durable, and professional appearance that resists corrosion and wear.

The 15.25-inch aluminum handguard features full Picatinny rail coverage for mounting optics, lights, and other tactical accessories. It ships with a mil-spec polymer grip and mil-spec trigger with a 5.5–6 lb pull weight. The included muzzle brake is designed for 6-degree forward wrench tightening without Loctite. You get one 30-round magazine in the box. There are no iron sights included, leaving your upper rail ready for the optic of your choice. The M4 feed ramps ensure reliable feeding across a wide range of ammunition.

This is a no-frills, purpose-built platform for shooters who want a solid AR-15 foundation to customize. Whether you're building out a precision rifle, a tactical carbine, or a reliable all-rounder, Great Lakes Firearms has given you the core to do it.
