The Great Lakes Firearms AR-10 .308 Win is a versatile semi-automatic rifle built for hunters and precision shooters who demand accuracy and reliability in a modern platform. Chambered in .308 Winchester—one of the most respected hunting and target cartridges available—this 18-inch rifle bridges the gap between manageability and ballistic performance, making it equally at home on a hunting trip or at the range. Whether you're pursuing medium to large game, competing in metallic silhouette matches, or simply honing your marksmanship, the GLFA .308 delivers the capability and handling characteristics serious shooters expect.

Built on a solid foundation of billet aluminum receivers (7075-T6 upper and lower), this rifle prioritizes durability and precision. The 18-inch 416R stainless barrel features 5R rifling and is double stress-relieved and air-gauged for consistent performance shot after shot. A rifle-length gas system keeps the action smooth and manageable, while the 15.25-inch M-LOK rail gives you plenty of room to mount optics, lights, and other accessories without unnecessary bulk. The bronze and stainless finish resists corrosion, and the rifle ships with a single 10-round magazine ready to go.

The controls are mil-spec throughout: an adjustable 6-position buttstock for fit and comfort, a standard pistol grip, and a mil-spec trigger breaking at 5.5–6 pounds. The muzzle is threaded (5/8x24) with a muzzle device already installed, ready for suppressors or other aftermarket solutions. This is a no-frills, purpose-built rifle that respects the .308's heritage while embracing modern AR ergonomics and modularity.

Frequently Asked Questions

Is the Great Lakes Firearms AR-10 suitable for hunting?

Yes. The .308 Winchester is a proven hunting cartridge for medium to large game, and the 18-inch barrel provides a compact profile while maintaining the velocity and accuracy needed for field hunting. The M-LOK rail allows you to add a quality scope for extended-range hunting work.

What optics mount to this rifle?

Any standard Picatinny or M-LOK-compatible optic mount will work on the 15.25-inch handguard. You'll need to add your own scope rings and optic—nothing is included beyond the rifle and magazine.

Can I add a suppressor to this rifle?

Yes. The muzzle is threaded 5/8x24 and comes with a muzzle device already installed. You can remove that device and thread on a suppressor or other muzzle accessory rated for .308 Winchester.

What magazine capacity comes with this rifle?

The rifle ships with one 10-round magazine. Additional .308 AR magazines are widely available from many manufacturers.
