The Great Lakes Firearms AR-10 .300 Win Mag rifle is a precision-built semi-automatic chambered for serious long-range hunting and competitive shooting. Built on a billet aluminum lower and upper receiver with a 24-inch stainless steel barrel featuring 5R rifling and a 1:10 twist rate, this rifle delivers the velocity and consistency you need to reach out past 500 yards with confidence. At 10.2 lbs, it balances enough weight for stable shooting without becoming a backpack burden in the field.
This is a rifle for hunters and shooters who demand accuracy without compromise. The AR-10 platform gives you modularity—swap uppers, tune your trigger, upgrade ergonomics—while the .300 Win Mag cartridge brings the downrange energy to anchor game at extended distances. The 20-inch M-Lok handguard keeps your setup flexible, whether you're mounting a scope for open-country mule deer or rigging a thermal for hog work after dark.
Great Lakes Firearms spec'd this build with function in mind: a custom bolt carrier group and charging handle, rifle-length gas system, .750 gas block with black oxide coating, and a Hogue fixed stock that won't shift under recoil. The stainless 5/8x24 muzzle brake tames the substantial recoil of the .300 Win Mag, keeping you on target for follow-up shots. The included 5-round magazine is purpose-built for this platform and keeps the overall package legal and practical in any hunting or range scenario.
Whether you're building a precision long-range rig or need a finished AR-10 that just works, Great Lakes Firearms delivers the quality and attention to detail that serious shooters expect.

Frequently Asked Questions
What's the effective range of a .300 Win Mag AR-10?
The .300 Win Mag is built for long-range hunting and shooting. With a 24-inch barrel and quality ammunition, you can reliably reach 500+ yards for precision work. Your real effective range depends on your skill, optics, and bullet selection—but the cartridge and this barrel length give you the velocity needed for serious distance.
Can I upgrade or customize this rifle with other AR-10 parts?
Yes. The Great Lakes Firearms AR-10 lower is compatible with standard AR-10 lower parts kits and triggers, so you can tailor the trigger pull, ergonomics, and other controls to your preference. The M-Lok handguard also accepts a wide range of aftermarket accessories.
What comes with this rifle and what do I need to add?
The rifle ships with a 5-round magazine and is ready to mount an optic. You'll want to add a scope and rings or a red dot, depending on your intended use—hunting, precision rifle matches, or range work.
How much does this rifle weigh and how does it handle in the field?
At 10.2 lbs, it's heavy enough to manage recoil and provide a stable shooting platform without being so heavy that it becomes tiring on long hikes or all-day hunting trips. The Hogue fixed stock and muzzle brake help with control and follow-up shots.
