The Global Ordnance Monolithic 5.56 NATO rifle represents a fundamental rethink of modern AR platform design. Rather than assembling a barrel, gas block, and muzzle brake as separate components, Global Ordnance machines the entire unit—barrel extension, gas block, and integrated Dead Air KeyMo 2-port brake—from a single piece of 41v50 ordnance-grade steel. The result is a rifle that cuts more than a dozen parts from the traditional design while improving concentricity, suppressor hosting, and overall reliability. This 16-inch barrel rifle ships semi-automatic in 5.56 NATO with a 30-round magazine capacity and is built around a bufferless operating system that simplifies mechanics and reduces weight without compromise.
What sets the Monolith apart is attention to the details that matter in the field and at the range. The monolithic barrel uses a 45-degree gas port optimized for suppressed fire, while the rifling profile and 1:7 twist deliver the accuracy you'd expect from a precision-built upper. The heavy-duty bolt is engineered for longevity under sustained use. Handling is enhanced by ambidextrous controls throughout—manual safety, magazine release, and a newly patented bolt release that drops by pressing the ejection port cover.
