The Eotech VUDU 4-12x36 FFP in Ultra Short configuration is a first focal plane rifle scope built for shooters who need magnification without the bulk. At just 7.1 inches long and weighing 16.9 oz, this compact scope delivers the optical performance of a mid-range hunting or tactical optic in a form factor that works on tight builds, short-action rifles, and platforms where mounting real estate is at a premium. The 4-12x magnification range covers most hunting scenarios from moderate distance to long-range precision work. First focal plane geometry means your MD5 reticle scales with magnification, so holdovers remain accurate across the full zoom range—critical for hunters and shooters working past 300 yards. The integrated base plays nicely with standard Picatinny rails and accepts most aftermarket mini-ACOG mounts, giving you flexibility in how you configure your rifle. If you want to add the included EFLX illuminated sight package, it mounts to the front tube at 12 o'clock or 45 degrees for co-witness versatility.
The illuminated reticle runs on a CR2032 battery with 10 brightness settings and roughly 300 hours of runtime—enough to get through a season without swapping cells. Turret caps protect your elevation and windage adjustments (0.1 MRAD per click) from accidental bumps in the field. Eye relief of 2.5–3.1 inches at 4x and 2.4–3.0 inches at 12x gives you a forgiving sight picture whether you're scanning brush or dialing in on distant targets.
