The EGW Sight Mount for Vortex Viper/Venom is a dovetail-mounted optics adapter designed to let you run a red dot sight on classic Sig Sauer pistols without gunsmithing. This mount replaces your rear sight and works with the full-size and compact Sig P220, P229, and P320 series pistols—the shooter-friendly alternative to optics-ready models. If you're carrying or shooting competition with a pistol that wasn't factory milled for a reflex sight, this is a straightforward way to add one.
Installation is simple: pop out your rear sight, slide the EGW mount into the dovetail, and secure it with the provided set screw. The progressive taper built into the dovetail makes fitment smoother and more repeatable than older, uniform-profile mounts. Once mounted, your Vortex optic sits rock-solid and reversible—you can pull the mount off anytime and put your iron sight back in place. The mount ships with mounting hardware for your specific red dot (button head screws for Vortex, flat head for Burris or Docter).
A few critical notes: this mount does not fit optics-ready Sigs (P226 Legion RX, P229 RX, P320 X-Carry, etc.), Sig 1911s, the P210 Target, or P365 models. Installation should be done by a qualified gunsmith, and modifying your firearm may void the manufacturer's warranty. EGW red dots install left-to-right (muzzle facing forward). Use blue Loctite on the mounting screws and torque to 15 in-lbs to avoid over-tightening.
