The Doublestar Corp ARP7 is a 5.56 NATO pistol built for shooters who want a compact, maneuverable platform without compromise. At 7.5 inches, the barrel strikes a balance between velocity and portability—ideal whether you're running a truck gun for overlanding, keeping a truck-bed defensive option, or setting up a nimble range rig. This semi-automatic direct-impingement pistol feeds from standard 30-round AR magazines and runs on a proven gas system, so feeding and function are never a question.

The ARP7's foundation is solid forged aluminum: a Type III hard-anodized 7075 aircraft-grade upper and lower receiver rated for duty. The upper is a flattop design with M4 feedramps, T-marks, a brass deflector, and ejection port door assembly—specs that matter when you're relying on the gun. A 4140 chrome-moly barrel with 1:9 right-hand twist delivers accuracy at 5.56 velocities, and a free-floating setup minimizes harmonics for consistent shot groups. The Big Timber muzzle brake keeps recoil manageable in a short-barreled package, making follow-up shots faster and more controlled.

Ergonomics and modularity are baked in. You get a billet Strongarm pistol brace for stability and support, a low-profile gas block that won't interfere with optics, and an Ergo grip for repeatable hand placement. The seven-inch Cloak MLOK handguard is where you customize: add a light, PEQ, or vertical grip to fit your mission. A billet Backbone charging handle rounds out the build—smooth operation you'll notice when you run the gun. Setup is straightforward: mount your favorite reflex or red-dot optic, load a mag, and you're ready to move and shoot.

This is a no-frills, well-engineered AR pistol for hunters, sport shooters, and owners who value reliability and practical ergonomics over flash.

Frequently Asked Questions

What magazines work with the ARP7 pistol?

The ARP7 feeds from standard 30-round AR magazines, so you can use any quality 5.56 NATO magazine you already own or want to add to your collection.

Can I mount an optic on this 5.56 pistol?

Yes. The ARP7 features a flattop upper receiver design, which provides a standard Picatinny rail for mounting reflex sights, red dots, or other optics. The low-profile gas block won't interfere with optic placement.

What's included with the ARP7, and what do I need to add?

The ARP7 comes complete with the upper and lower receivers, barrel, gas system, Strongarm pistol brace, buffer tube, trigger group, charging handle, handguard, and muzzle brake. You will need to add an optic and ammunition to shoot. The pistol does not include magazines—you'll want to add 30-round AR magazines separately.

Is the ARP7 a good truck gun or overlanding platform?

Yes. The 7.5-inch barrel and 24.5-inch overall length make it compact and maneuverable for vehicle storage or close-quarters scenarios. A 5.56 NATO platform offers reliable semi-automatic performance and easy access to ammunition. Many shooters choose this type of AR pistol as a dependable backup firearm for overlanding or remote travel where space is limited.
