The Diamondback DB15 .223 Remington AR rifle is a no-nonsense modern sporting rifle built for shooters who want a reliable, accurate platform without unnecessary frills or premium pricing. This 16-inch barreled carbine delivers the handling and ballistics that make AR-platform rifles the most popular choice for range training, sport shooting, and hunting medium game. The DB15 pairs proven design with smart component choices, giving you a rifle that runs when it matters.

The barrel is Diamondback's own 4150 CrMov steel with black nitride finish, chambered in .223 Remington (5.56 NATO), with a 1:8 right-hand twist optimized for modern ammunition across the full spectrum of bullet weights. The carbine-length gas system keeps the action snappy and controls recoil predictably. Up top, a forged 7075-T6 aluminum A3 flattop upper sits on a matching forged lower, giving you a solid platform for optics or iron sights (sold separately). The shot-peened, magnetic particle-inspected MIL-spec bolt carrier group is built to military standards for durability and reliability.

Ergonomics matter on a rifle you'll handle for hours at the range or in the field. The 15-inch M-LOK handguard features anti-slip texture pads for secure purchase in any condition, and the MOE-K2 grip and Magpul CTR stock provide comfortable, repeatable positioning. The rifle ships with one Gen M3 PMAG 10-round magazine and includes a Diamondback CNC flash hider with 1/2x28 threads, plus an AR Maglock kit for California compliance.

This is a rifle for people who understand what they need in an AR-15: solid parts, sensible ergonomics, and straightforward performance. It's not dressed up or overbuilt, and it doesn't need to be.

Frequently Asked Questions

What's the difference between .223 Remington and 5.56 NATO?

The DB15 is chambered in .223 Remington, which is the commercial equivalent. Both use the same ammunition and are compatible with the same magazines. The key difference is chamber pressure and spec—5.56 NATO rounds may run slightly hotter—but in practice, modern .223 Remington ammunition works reliably in this rifle.

Does this rifle come with sights or an optic?

No. The rifle ships with a flat-top A3 upper receiver ready to mount a scope, red dot, or other optic of your choice. You can also add iron sights separately if preferred. The one included item is the magazines and Maglock kit.

What's included in the box?

The DB15 comes with one Gen M3 PMAG 10-round magazine, a Diamondback CNC flash hider (installed, 1/2x28 threads), and an AR Maglock kit for California compliance. No optic, sights, or additional accessories are included.

Is this rifle California-legal?

Yes. The rifle includes an AR Maglock kit, which makes it compliant with California regulations. Make sure to follow all local and state laws regarding assembly, registration, and use.
