The CZ Bobwhite 20ga side-by-side shotgun delivers authentic English upland charm without the European price tag. This Model 6399 pairs a classic straight-grip stock with a 26-inch barrel and black chrome receiver, making it a natural choice for hunters who value tradition, handling, and genuine craftsmanship. Whether you're working through brush for grouse and woodcock or shooting clays over a friend's property, the Bobwhite handles like a gun half its weight while maintaining the balance and pointability that make side-by-side shotguns favored by upland purists.

The 20-gauge chambering and compact 26-inch barrels keep things nimble in tight cover—exactly where upland birds live. You get five choke tubes (Full, Improved Modified, Modified, Improved Cylinder, and Cylinder), so you can dial in patterns for everything from dense thickets to open fields. The English-style stock with a 14½-inch length of pull fits most shooters comfortably, and the 8mm flat rib helps you track targets smoothly. Dual triggers let each barrel have its own trigger pull, a feature many shooters prefer for the control and instant barrel selection it offers.

CZ built the Bobwhite on a foundation of reliability—the extractor is simple and proven, the manual tang safety is intuitive, and the black chrome finish on both receiver and barrels resists the wear that comes with real fieldwork. This isn't a safe queen; it's a gun designed to be used, cleaned, and carried year after year into country where birds matter.

Frequently Asked Questions

Is the CZ Bobwhite good for upland bird hunting?

Yes. The 26-inch barrels, light weight, and dual triggers make it well-suited to grouse, woodcock, pheasant, and quail hunting. The 20-gauge is plenty of gun for upland work, and the straight stock provides the quick hand position that matters when birds flush close.

What chokes come with the Bobwhite, and can I use different ones?

The shotgun ships with five chokes: Full, Improved Modified, Modified, Improved Cylinder, and Cylinder. These are the chokes that come with the gun; the description does not specify whether the gun accepts other aftermarket chokes.

What does a 14½-inch length of pull mean, and will it fit me?

Length of pull is the distance from the trigger to the center of the recoil pad. A 14½-inch pull is considered standard or slightly short and typically fits average to smaller-framed shooters well. If you're taller or have a longer arm, you may want to handle one before purchasing or consider a pad extension.

What's the difference between dual triggers and a single selective trigger?

Dual triggers give you two separate pulls—one for each barrel. You pull the front trigger to fire the first barrel and the rear trigger for the second. This setup is simpler mechanically, lighter, and gives you instant control over which barrel fires first, which many hunters prefer for upland work.
