The CVA Cascade SB 300 Win Mag bolt-action rifle is built for hunters and shooters who need a hard-hitting magnum in a compact, maneuverable package. The "SB" designation stands for short barrel—a design choice that trades minimal velocity loss for real-world advantages in tight brush, tree stands, vehicle carry, and suppressor-equipped builds. Chambered in the potent 300 Win Mag, this rifle delivers serious downrange power without the unwieldy length of a full-size magnum rifle. Whether you're hunting thick timber, glassing from a truck, or running a can for hearing protection and recoil management, the Cascade SB's short profile makes it a genuine working rifle for the field.
The barrel features a #4 contour profile finished in Graphite Black Cerakote, offering both durability and a clean, professional look. CVA offers the Cascade SB in two short-barrel configurations—16.5-inch and 18-inch lengths—giving you flexibility to match your specific use case and ballistic preference. The bolt-action design is inherently reliable and accurate, a proven platform for hunters who demand consistency when it matters.
If you're tired of magnum rifles that handle like a fence post, or you need a 300 Win Mag that actually fits in your truck, truck, or tight hunting territory, the Cascade SB delivers the cartridge performance you want with the handling you need.

Frequently Asked Questions
What barrel length should I choose for the Cascade SB—16.5 or 18 inch?
Both lengths are considered short for a magnum rifle and offer excellent maneuverability. The 16.5-inch gives you the most compact profile, while the 18-inch provides a bit more velocity and sight radius. Choose 16.5 if compactness is your priority (truck guns, dense timber); choose 18 if you want marginally more ballistic performance and a slightly longer sight plane for your optic or iron sights.
Can I use a suppressor on the Cascade SB 300 Win Mag?
Yes. The Cascade SB is designed with suppressor compatibility in mind. The short barrel and compact profile make suppressor use more practical than on a full-size magnum rifle, and the gun remains easy to handle even when a can is attached.
Is the Cascade SB suitable for long-range hunting?
The 300 Win Mag chambering is absolutely capable of long-range work. The short barrel will produce slightly lower velocity than a full-length 300 Win Mag, but the round retains excellent energy and trajectory at extended distances. This rifle works well for hunters who want magnum performance without full-size bulk.
What finish does this rifle have?
The Cascade SB comes in Veil Tac Black. The barrel is finished in Graphite Black Cerakote, providing a durable, corrosion-resistant coating suitable for field hunting and hard use.
