The Cole-TAC Metal Python 7.5" suppressor cover is a heat shield designed to protect your can from damage, manage thermal signature, and keep you safe from burns during and after shooting. Built from 1000 Denier Cordura nylon with a proprietary fire-resistant lining rated to 1800°F, this cover fits suppressors with diameters between 1 3/8" and 1 5/8", making it a practical accessory for centerfire rifle setups where suppressor heat is a real concern.
The Metal Python uses BOA locking straps with metal buckles to cinch down securely without shifting under recoil. The no-slip cinch design means the cover stays put shot after shot and resists stretching over extended use—a real advantage over looser heat wrap alternatives. The black finish integrates naturally into most rifle builds, and the 7.5" length provides substantial coverage of the can itself.
Keep in mind: this cover is not rated for mag-dump or full-auto use and can melt under sustained high heat. Cole-TAC does not warranty melted covers, so if you're running a semi-auto rifle at normal pace, you're fine; if you're pushing it to the limit, consider a purpose-built full-auto cover instead.
