The Cimarron Firearms Couberti Thunderer .357 Magnum 3.5" revolver merges two classic frontier designs into a single-action carry gun that feels right in hand and shoots true. This isn't a reimagining of Old West revolvers—it's a purposeful pairing of the ergonomic grip geometry of the legendary Thunderer with the uncomplicated mechanics and pointability of a traditional single-action six-shooter. The result is a compact, practical revolver that balances historical authenticity with shootable comfort, ideal for hunters, sport shooters, and western enthusiasts who want genuine heritage iron that actually works for modern use.

At 3.5 inches, the barrel strikes the sweet spot for carry without sacrificing velocity or sight radius. The case-hardened frame wears a standard blue finish that's both protective and period-correct in appearance. A one-piece walnut grip—available in smooth or checkered—anchors the gun securely and complements the revolver's classic profile. At just 2.57 pounds, this Couberti handles like a real working sixgun, not a museum piece.

Chambered in .357 Magnum, you've got plenty of stopping power whether you're shooting full-power loads or milder .38 Special ammunition (both are safely interchangeable in a .357 revolver). The single-action trigger breaks clean, and the robust construction means this gun will run reliably for decades of shooting. If you've wanted the grip comfort and handling of a modern revolver with the soul of a genuine single-action Colt-type gun, the Couberti Thunderer delivers both.

What's the difference between this Couberti and a standard single-action revolver?

The Couberti pairs a traditional single-action mechanism with the grip frame geometry of the Thunderer revolver, offering improved ergonomics and comfort compared to classic Colt-style single-actions while maintaining the simplicity and reliability of single-action operation.

Is this revolver suitable for carry?

The 3.5-inch barrel length and 2.57-pound weight make this a compact, practical option for those interested in carrying a working single-action revolver. Fit depends on your holster and carry method.
