The Christensen Arms Modern Precision Rifle in 7mm PRC represents a purpose-built platform for hunters and long-range shooters who refuse to compromise between performance and portability. Built on a modular chassis design, this rifle strips away excess weight without sacrificing the precision features that matter—starting at just 6.9 pounds, it's engineered for backcountry hunts, field competitions, and situations where every ounce counts. The black anodized finish delivers a clean, professional look while the integrated 20 MOA rail and Remington 700 optics base compatibility make scope mounting straightforward.

At the heart of the system sits a Christensen Arms 416R stainless steel barrel with carbon fiber wrap in target profile, hand-lapped and match-chambered for the 7mm PRC cartridge. That barrel pairs with an adjustable stainless side-baffle muzzle brake (removable, threaded 5/8-24) to tame recoil and manage muzzle blast. The action features a TriggerTech flat trigger, dual ejectors for magnum efficiency, and a skeletonized bolt handle paired with an oversized fluted bolt knob for positive manipulation in gloved conditions. A tactical mag release and AICS-compatible detachable magazine system keep reloads fast and reliable in the field.

The chassis itself is 7075 billet aluminum with a free-floating carbon fiber handguard and M-Lok slots for accessory mounting. An adjustable carbon fiber cheek riser and length-of-pull adjustment (12.5–14.5 inches) let you dial in your fit, while the folding stock with magnelock technology saves real estate when packing or in vehicles. Six QD flush-cup mounts accept quick-detach sling hardware. Christensen Arms backs the rifle with its Sub-MOA Guarantee, so you're buying confidence alongside capability.

Frequently Asked Questions

What scopes and mounts work with the Modern Precision Rifle?

The rifle features an integrated 20 MOA rail with a Remington 700 optics base, making it compatible with standard Rem 700 rings and any scope designed for that platform. Picatinny-compatible rings will work as well.

Can I fold the stock and still use the rifle?

The folding stock is equipped with a locking hinge and magnelock technology, allowing you to fold it for transport or storage. When locked in the open position, it provides a stable shooting platform. Folding is designed for convenience during carry, not firing.

What magazine system does this rifle use?

The Modern Precision Rifle uses AICS-compatible detachable magazines with a tactical mag release for fast reloads in the field or at the range.

Is the muzzle brake removable?

Yes, the adjustable stainless side-baffle muzzle brake is removable. The barrel is threaded 5/8–24 TPI, so you can swap brakes or run a suppressor-compatible adapter if needed.

Does this rifle come with a magazine?
