416 Stainless Steel Button-Rifled, Free-Floating

The Christensen Arms Mesa .300 Win Mag bolt-action rifle is built for hunters who refuse to compromise on capability for the sake of weight. This featherweight magnum delivers sub-MOA accuracy in a package light enough to carry all day through high country. At its core is a hand-lapped, button-rifled 416R stainless steel barrel with Christensen's ultralight contour and a seamless radial muzzle brake, finished in either tungsten or burnt bronze Cerakote. The free-floating design ensures consistent shot-to-shot precision, while the threaded muzzle (1/2–28 or 5/8–24) accepts suppressors or additional brakes.

The action speaks to serious shooters. Christensen paired a skeletonized bolt handle with an enlarged ejection port for smooth feeding and fast cycling. TriggerTech crafted the trigger for crisp, predictable breaks. Rem 700 optics base compatibility means zero guesswork on mounting your glass, and the billet aluminum bottom metal with hinged floor plate provides reliable feeding from the internal 4-round magazine (3 rounds for .300 Win Mag). Every metal surface—action, muzzle brake, and bolt—shares the same tungsten Cerakote finish for a cohesive, durable look that stands up to elements and abuse.

The FFT carbon fiber stock is where the Mesa earns its reputation as a backcountry workhorse. The sporter-style design pairs stainless steel bedding pillars and spot bedding for accuracy without unnecessary mass. Add a recoil pad built to manage the .300's kick, and you've got a rifle that balances comfort with performance. The whole package starts at just 5.5 pounds—serious enough to reach out past 300 yards, light enough to hunt steep terrain where every ounce matters. Back it all with Christensen Arms' Sub-MOA Guarantee, and you're investing in a rifle that will prove itself on your next summit.

Frequently Asked Questions

What makes the Mesa FFT lighter than other .300 Win Mag rifles?

The combination of an ultralight featherweight 416R stainless barrel, carbon fiber FFT stock, and skeletonized bolt handle bring the total weight down to around 5.5 pounds. This design targets backcountry hunters who cover serious elevation and terrain, where every ounce adds up over miles of hiking.

Can I use a suppressor or different muzzle brake on the Mesa?

Yes. The barrel is threaded with a removable radial muzzle brake in either 1/2–28 or 5/8–24 (depending on your configuration). You can swap the included brake for a suppressor, different brake, or flash hider that matches your muzzle thread pitch.

Is the Mesa compatible with standard Rem 700 mounting systems?

Yes. The action is drilled and tapped for Rem 700 optics bases, so any scope ring system designed for the 700 platform will mount directly without additional work.

What's included with this rifle?

The Mesa comes with the rifle, including the seamless radial muzzle brake (removable), Christensen's carbon fiber FFT stock with recoil pad, TriggerTech trigger, and internal magazine. It is backed by the Christensen Arms Sub-MOA Guarantee.
