The Charles Daly 101 20 gauge single-barrel shotgun is a no-frills, reliable workhorse built for hunters and shooters who value simplicity and dependability. With its 26-inch barrel, manual break-open action, and straightforward single-trigger design, this 20 gauge delivers the handling and recoil characteristics that make it an excellent choice for upland game, clay target practice, or anyone stepping into shotgun shooting. The synthetic furniture—checkered stock and forend—means you get a durable, weather-resistant gun that won't require the maintenance fussy wood demands, and at 7 pounds it's light enough to carry all day.
Built around proven break-open mechanics, the 101 uses a manual safety and extractor system. The barrel threads for Beretta/Benelli Mobil Choke (MC-1 medium choke included), giving you the flexibility to swap chokes for different shot patterns without buying a whole new gun. The brass bead front sight keeps you on target across typical shotgun ranges, and the one-round capacity makes this an excellent fit for hunters who prefer a single, well-considered shot or for controlled target work.
If you're hunting rabbits, grouse, or quail, or running clay courses at a local club, the Charles Daly 101 does one job honestly: it points, it cycles, and it shoots. There's no bloat, no features you'll never use—just a gun that works every time you need it.

Frequently Asked Questions
What choke does the Charles Daly 101 come with?
The shotgun includes a medium (MC-1) choke in the Beretta/Benelli Mobil Choke standard. You can swap in other MC-1 chokes to adjust your shot pattern for different game or shooting scenarios.
Is this shotgun good for upland hunting?
Yes. The 26-inch barrel and 20 gauge profile make it ideal for upland bird hunting where a lighter gun and manageable recoil are assets. The single-barrel design keeps things simple and fast when you need it.
Does the synthetic stock hold up in wet conditions?
Synthetic stocks are inherently weather-resistant and require no oil or special care, making them well-suited for hunting in rain or damp conditions. They're also more durable than wood if the gun takes a knock.
Can I use 3-inch magnum loads in this shotgun?
The Charles Daly 101 is chambered for 3-inch shells, so yes—you can use both standard 2¾-inch and 3-inch magnum 20 gauge ammunition.
