Carlson's Choke Tubes 00050 Snap Cap Spring Loaded Striking .223 Rem Aluminum (2-Pack) are purpose-built dummy rounds designed to let you safely dry-fire and train without live ammunition. Whether you're working through malfunction drills, building trigger control, or just need to release firing pin tension on your AR or bolt-gun, these .223 Rem snap caps absorb impact and protect your rifle's firing pin from damage that comes with repeated dry-firing.
The spring-loaded striking surface is precision-engineered to cushion firing pin impact while staying true to SAAMI specifications. The aluminum construction won't mar your chamber, extractor, or ejector—a real advantage over steel dummy rounds or improvised alternatives. The primer material is hardened to the right spec so your striker won't over-protrude or get hung up, which matters when you're cycling through multiple drills or teaching someone else safe handling and malfunction response.
