The Browning Silver Rifled Deer 20-gauge semi-auto shotgun combines lightweight handling with proven reliability for whitetail hunters who value quick, accurate follow-up shots in the field. Built on Browning's time-tested inertia-driven platform, this 20ga delivers the reduced recoil and softer shooter experience that makes it ideal for hunters of lighter build, younger shooters, or anyone who appreciates less fatigue on a long day in the stand. The rifled barrel and slug-ready setup mean you're equipped for traditional deer seasons where saboted slugs are the standard.
This version wears a satin-finished Turkish walnut stock paired with a two-tone silver and black receiver—a clean, purposeful aesthetic that works equally well in a hunting blind or at the range. At 6 lbs 12 oz, the gun swings naturally without wearing you down, and the 22-inch rifled barrel keeps the overall length at 42¾ inches, making it nimble in brushy cover or from a vehicle. The 14¼-inch length of pull suits most hunters in standard apparel, and the ventilated recoil pad softens the shot impulse.
Browning fitted this shotgun with a 4-round tubular magazine, hand-cut checkering at 18 LPI for secure grip in wet conditions, and a chrome-plated chamber that resists rust—practical details that show up when you're hunting early season or late-season wet. The gold-plated trigger and Buck Mark engraving on the trigger guard add a touch of character without compromising function. A flat choke wrench is included so you can swap loads between turkey shot and slugs if your season permits.

Frequently Asked Questions
Is this 20-gauge shotgun good for deer hunting?
Yes. The rifled barrel is specifically designed to shoot rifled slugs accurately, making it a solid choice for deer seasons that call for slug guns. The 20-gauge delivers less recoil than a 12-gauge while still carrying enough energy for ethical harvests at typical hunting ranges. The lightweight build and manageable recoil make it especially practical for longer sits in the stand.
What choke does it come with, and can I change it?
The choke configuration is not specified in the product data. A flat choke wrench is included, which suggests the gun accepts interchangeable chokes, but you'll want to verify the specific choke tube system and available options with Browning or your dealer.
What's the length of pull, and will it fit me?
The length of pull is 14¼ inches, which is standard for most hunters wearing typical hunting apparel. If you're shorter or taller than average, you may want to try it at your dealer or consider aftermarket stocks or shims to dial in the fit.
Is this shotgun available in different finishes or stocks?
This particular model features a satin-finished Turkish walnut stock and a two-tone silver and black receiver. Browning offers other configurations in the Silver line; check with your dealer to see what variants are in stock or available to order.
