The Browning Silver rifled deer shotgun is a gas-operated semi-automatic built for serious whitetail hunters who want the power of a shotgun with slug-hunting accuracy. This 20-gauge model pairs a thick-walled rifled barrel with a cantilever scope mount, letting you run an optic locked to the barrel—so your zero stays put when you swap setups or break the gun down for cleaning. The 3-inch chamber handles both slugs and sabots reliably, and the 1-in-24 twist rate is optimized for those heavier, more ballistically stable rounds.
What sets the Silver apart is its no-fuss reliability and clean aesthetics. The gas system cycles smoothly enough that recoil stays manageable even on extended hunting days, and the full Mossy Oak Bottomland camo coverage blends seamlessly into hardwoods and from a tree stand. The checkered walnut stock and forearm give the gun a traditional feel—a refreshing contrast to modern tactical shotguns—while textured grip surfaces keep things secure in cold, wet conditions.
The cantilever mount accepts standard Weaver-pattern optics and red dots, making fast target acquisition straightforward. Whether you're hunting deer over bait, stalking creek bottoms, or posting in a stand, the Silver delivers the accuracy you need at shotgun ranges without the bulk of a dedicated precision platform. It's a focused tool for a specific job: reliably dropping deer with slugs, year after year.

Frequently Asked Questions
Can I use a rifle scope on the cantilever mount?
Yes. The cantilever mount is Weaver-pattern, so it accepts any standard Weaver-mounted scope, red dot, or reflex sight designed for that rail.
Will my zero shift if I remove and reinstall my scope?
No. The cantilever mount is secured to the barrel itself, not the receiver, so the optic maintains its zero even if you take the gun apart for cleaning or swap barrels.
Is this shotgun suitable for rifled slug hunting at extended range?
Yes. The thick-walled rifled barrel and 1-in-24 twist rate are specifically designed to stabilize slugs and sabots for accurate deer hunting at shotgun ranges.
What camo pattern does this model come in?
Full coverage Mossy Oak Bottomland, which is designed to blend effectively in hardwood and forest environments and works well for tree stand hunting.
