The Browning Citori White Lightning Small gas 20-gauge over/under shotgun is a refined, purpose-built gun for hunters and sporting clay shooters who want a classic action without excess weight. Built on the proven Citori platform, this 20ga doubles down on what makes the White Lightning line distinctive: elegant engraving, quality walnut, and a handling profile that feels nimble in the field or at the clay range. At just under 7 pounds with a 26-inch barrel, it swings like a wand while maintaining the balance and reliability Browning built its reputation on.

The White Lightning aesthetic runs deep here. Grade III/IV walnut in an oil finish showcases the wood's grain, while intricate broad-coverage engraving gives the receiver real presence without looking overdone. The lightning-style buttstock and Inflex recoil pad absorb shot without the clunk of older designs, and the proportions (14¼-inch length of pull, measured drops at comb and heel) are built for comfortable, repeatable gun mounting—essential whether you're working a covey or competing on a course.

Practically speaking, the gun arrives with three black Midas Grade extended choke tubes (full, modified, improved cylinder), so you can adjust for everything from tight long-range pheasant passes to close-quarter quail or 25-yard trap targets. The ivory bead sight paired with a mid-bead gives you a clean reference line without fuss. The 3-inch chamber and 26-inch barrels make this a true 20-gauge: enough barrel for energy and pattern, short enough to stay manageable in brush and tight vegetation.

If you've shot or coveted a Citori, you know the operating feel: tight lockup, smooth ejectors, and that satisfying mechanical reliability. This White Lightning version delivers that in a gauge and weight class that rewards repeated shooting, whether over a season of hunting or a season of registered events.

Frequently Asked Questions

What choke tubes come with this shotgun?

Three black extended Midas Grade choke tubes are included: full, modified, and improved cylinder. These allow you to adjust the shot pattern to match your hunting conditions or clay target discipline.

Is the Citori White Lightning 20-gauge suitable for hunting and sporting clays?

Yes. The gun is equipped and proportioned for both upland bird hunting and recreational or registered clay shooting. The included choke tubes and barrel length support effective hunting distances and clay target presentations.

What is the length of pull, and is it adjustable?

The stock has a fixed length of pull of 14¼ inches, measured from the trigger to the rear of the buttpad. This dimension is set and not adjustable; Browning designed it as a standard small-frame fit.

How much does the White Lightning 20-gauge weigh?

The shotgun weighs 6 lbs 12 oz, making it one of the lighter over/under options in the 20-gauge class. This lightness aids field handling for long hunting days and reduces fatigue during sustained clay shooting.
