The Browning Citori CX 12ga over/under shotgun is built for shooters who refuse to compromise between clay sports versatility and field practicality. Whether you're working targets in trap, skeet, or sporting clays—or hunting upland game and waterfowl—this shotgun delivers the performance and handling you need without the weight penalty of a specialized competition gun. The gloss-finished Grade II American walnut stock and polished blue receiver strike that balance between ruggedness and refinement that makes the CX equally at home at the range or in the field all day long.

Browning engineered the CX to handle the demands of multiple shooting disciplines with thoughtful, shooter-focused features. The lengthened Vector Pro forcing cones ease shot transitions and reduce felt recoil, while the high-post ventilated ribs on top and sides keep your sight picture consistent whether you're mounting fast or taking a deliberate bead. The lightweight barrel profile keeps the gun nimble and manageable, and the 60/40 point-of-impact pattern works across all three clay target games without requiring a gun swap for each discipline.

The standout feature for many shooters is the Triple Trigger System, which ships with three interchangeable trigger shoe profiles. Finding your perfect finger-on-trigger position is individual—hand size, grip style, and shooting discipline all play a role—and Browning gives you the flexibility to dial it in without gunsmithing. The shotgun comes standard with three Midas grade extended Invector-Plus choke tubes, giving you the spread adjustment you need for everything from close-quarters hunting to longer clay shots. Ivory front and mid bead sights make target acquisition quick and positive in variable light.

At 8 lbs 3 oz with 30-inch barrels, the CX maintains the swing and control that make a shotgun fun to shoot without the fatigue that comes from carrying a heavier gun for hours. The Inflex recoil pad absorbs the 3-inch chamber's snap effectively, letting you focus on your shooting rather than managing recoil. This is the gun for serious clay shooters who also hunt, or hunters who want to stay sharp between seasons on the target range.

Yes. The CX is specifically designed as a crossover gun that excels at trap, skeet, and sporting clays, yet remains practical for hunting upland game and waterfowl. Its 60/40 point of impact and lightweight, manageable profile work across both disciplines, so you don't need separate guns for each pursuit.

What does the Triple Trigger System do?

The Triple Trigger System ships with three different trigger shoe profiles that you can swap to find the finger-on-trigger position that feels best for your hand size, grip style, and shooting preference. No gunsmithing required—it's a simple way to customize the trigger to your shooting style.

What choke tubes come with the CX?

The shotgun includes three Midas grade extended Invector-Plus choke tubes, giving you flexibility to adjust your pattern for different shooting distances and game.

What's the weight and barrel length?
