Serrated Steel w/Picatinny Rail

The Browning Buck Mark Field Target .22 LR pistol is a blowback-operated rimfire built for shooters who want a reliable, accurate platform for target work and casual plinking. This 5.5" model pairs a proven single-action design with modern ergonomics and optics-ready capability—ideal for precision work at the range without the recoil or cost of centerfire rounds. Whether you're training, competing in rimfire matches, or just refining your fundamentals, the Buck Mark delivers the accuracy and controls that have made it a go-to choice for decades.

The tungsten Cerakote finish on the barrel and slide resists wear and corrosion, keeping your pistol looking sharp through heavy use. An alloy receiver with matte blued finish keeps weight down while maintaining durability. The full-length Picatinny rail on top gives you flexibility to mount a red dot, scope, or other sight system—a real advantage if you want magnified target work or a modern optic sight picture. The Pro-Target adjustable rear sight pairs with a Patridge-style front sight for crisp, consistent aim, and the black UFX grips provide secure purchase and fast handling.

Single-action operation keeps the trigger clean and predictable—no heavy double-action press to fight during tight groups. The blowback action is inherently simple and reliable, with minimal moving parts to worry about. One 10-round magazine ships with the gun, and the included pistol rug offers basic protection for transport or storage. At its core, the Buck Mark Field Target is about doing one job well: delivering accurate, repeatable shots downrange without fuss or expense.

Frequently Asked Questions

Can I mount a red dot sight or scope on the Buck Mark Field Target?

Yes. The full-length Picatinny rail on top lets you mount optics, red dots, magnified scopes, or other rail-compatible sights. The adjustable rear sight also stays in place if you prefer iron sights alone.

What's the difference between this model and other Buck Mark variants?

The Field Target is built with a tungsten Cerakote finish for added durability and corrosion resistance, a full-length Picatinny rail for easy optics mounting, and the Pro-Target adjustable rear sight for serious target work. It's designed as a versatile, optics-ready platform rather than a concealed-carry or hunting pistol.

Is the single-action trigger harder or easier to manage than a revolver?

Single-action means you cock the hammer with each shot, and the trigger simply releases it. Once cocked, the trigger press is light and clean, which aids accuracy. It's not harder—just a different manual of arms than a double-action revolver or semi-auto.

What comes in the box?

The pistol ships with one 10-round magazine and a pistol rug for storage or transport.
