The Browning BT-99 is a single-barrel trap shotgun built for serious clay target work. This 12-gauge, 2¾-chamber model features a 32-inch barrel paired with a satin-finish walnut stock—classic aesthetics that don't sacrifice function. What sets this BT-99 apart is the Graco butt pad system that lets you fine-tune your length of pull (LOP), toe angle, and comb height, ensuring a custom fit without permanent gunsmithing. That adjustability makes it an excellent choice if you're dialing in your setup or sharing the gun across shooters of different builds.

The gun comes with a medium choke tube already installed and carries iron sighting—an ivory front sight and mid-bead for quick target acquisition in the trap house. Browning's Inflex recoil pad absorbs punishment during a long day at the range, a thoughtful touch on a shotgun that will see serious rounds downrange. At 7 lbs 14 oz and 48½ inches overall, it balances heft (good for swing and follow-through) with handlability. The standard 13¼-inch LOP suits most adult shooters right out of the box, though the Graco system lets you adjust that in or out as needed.

Whether you're grinding trap targets competitively or working on your wing-shooting fundamentals, the BT-99 Micro is a purpose-built shotgun that rewards technique and consistency. The adjustable LOP system is a practical advantage over fixed-stock singles—fewer guns needed to fit different shooters properly.

Frequently Asked Questions

Is this shotgun designed specifically for trap shooting?

Yes. The BT-99 is a single-barrel trap gun built for clay target sports. Its 32-inch barrel, walnut stock geometry, and sighting system are optimized for that discipline.

Can I adjust the length of pull on this gun?

Yes. The Graco adjustable butt pad system allows you to modify length of pull, toe angle (in/out), and comb height, so you can customize the fit without permanent modification.

What choke comes with it?

The BT-99 ships with one medium choke tube already installed and ready to use.

Who would benefit from the adjustable LOP system?

Anyone who shares the gun across shooters of different frames, or who wants to fine-tune their fit for optimal comfort and performance. It eliminates the need to own multiple guns just to dial in the right dimensions.
