The Browning 1911-22 Label Medallion Compact is a scaled-down rimfire take on America's most iconic pistol platform—built for shooters who want authentic 1911 handling and ergonomics without the recoil or ammunition cost of center-fire calibers. At 85% scale and chambered in .22 LR, this blowback-operated pistol delivers the crisp single-action trigger, manual safety, grip safety, and slide-lock features you'd expect from a full-size M1911, making it an excellent trainer, plinker, or small-game firearm for hunters and recreational shooters alike.
The Black Label Medallion combines serious handling features with tasteful aesthetics. You get an alloy composite frame with extended beavertail grip safety, ambidextrous thumb safety, and extended slide release—all the controls of a defensive or competition 1911. The machined aluminum slide wears a matte black finish with brush-polished flats that catch light just right, while the 3.625-inch stainless steel barrel is fitted with a target crown for consistent accuracy. Three-dot combat white-dot sights are dovetailed directly into the slide, and a skeletonized hammer and trigger keep things responsive.
Fit and finish are where this gun earns its keep. Grade I checkered rosewood grips are laser-checkered for authentic texture and feature a gold Buckmark inlay—genuine wood instead of plastic, setting this apart from budget rimfire knockoffs. The 10-round detachable magazine keeps you fed for extended plinking sessions, and at just 13 ounces, the compact frame is fast out of the holster or bag. An ABS carry case is included, so you're set for the range or field day right out of the box.
Whether you're breaking in a new shooter, maintaining fundamentals between centerfire sessions, or hunting small game, the Browning 1911-22 Medallion brings genuine 1911 mechanics and controls to the .22 LR cartridge. It's the real deal in miniature.
