The Bond Arms Sound of Freedom derringer in .45LC/.410GA is a purpose-built backup gun and truck gun for hunters, sport shooters, and outdoors enthusiasts who want dependable, compact firepower without the bulk. Built on Bond Arms' proven original frame, this stainless steel derringer pairs classic American aesthetics with genuine versatility—the ability to fire .45 Long Colt or .410 shotgun shells gives you options whether you're handling varmints, defense, or sport shooting at distance or close range.

The 3.5-inch barrel strikes a practical balance between shootability and pocket-friendly carry. High-polish stainless steel construction resists weather and corrosion, and the extended black ash grips provide comfortable purchase in the hand. At just 22 ounces, this is genuinely portable gear for belt carry, bag, or truck compartment. Fixed sights keep things simple and fast to target, while the single-action trigger breaks at 7 pounds—deliberate and safe.

The Sound of Freedom ships with a black leather driving holster embossed with the American flag design, so you've got carry sorted out of the box. The modular frame design means you can swap barrels with most Bond Arms accessory barrels (note: not compatible with Stinger or Cyclops configurations), letting you add different barrel lengths and caliber options as your shooting grows. Two-round capacity keeps it light and simple—derringers have always been about reliability and speed, not volume.

Frequently Asked Questions

Can I swap barrels on the Sound of Freedom derringer?

Yes. The Sound of Freedom is built on Bond Arms' original hand-cannon frame, which accepts most Bond Arms accessory barrels. The notable exception: barrels for the Stinger and Cyclops models are not compatible with this derringer.

What's the difference between firing .45 Long Colt versus .410 shotgun?

You can fire either caliber from the same gun—the dual-chambered barrels allow you to load .45 Long Colt or .410 slugs or shot depending on your purpose (varmint, defense, or sport). This dual-caliber versatility is one of the derringer's key advantages.

Is a holster included?

Yes. Every Sound of Freedom derringer ships with a black leather driving holster embossed with an American flag design.

What kind of carry is this gun built for?

At 22 ounces and 5.5 inches long, the Sound of Freedom is designed for backup carry, truck guns, bag carry, or belt carry. The extended grips and 3.5-inch barrel make it more shootable than tiny pocket derringers while remaining compact enough for everyday transport.
