The Bergara B-14 Stoke Compact in .223 Rem is purpose-built for shooters who've been underserved by the bolt-action rifle market for too long. While most "compact" rifles just trim an inch or two from a standard platform, the Stoke takes a different approach: it's comprehensively redesigned around a 12.25" length of pull—among the shortest in centerfire bolt-actions—to deliver genuine comfort and control for smaller-framed hunters and shooters. That fit matters. Better ergonomics mean better shot placement, less fatigue, and more confidence behind the gun.

The 16.5" barrel in .223 Rem keeps things nimble for hunting and range work without sacrificing velocity where it counts. The action is topped with a threaded, 5/8"-24 muzzle (ready for suppressors or brakes), and the 4140 CrMo steel barrel is built to handle repeated precision shooting. The stock goes beyond downsizing the furniture: a negative comb angle and refined grip contours work together to reduce felt recoil and keep your cheek weld consistent shot after shot. A sporter-style synthetic stock in black and green handles field conditions without absorbing moisture or shifting zero.

This is a rifle for someone who knows that compromise on fit is compromise on accuracy. Whether you're a younger hunter stepping up to centerfire, a smaller-statured shooter tired of oversized designs, or someone who simply values a more manageable platform, the Stoke delivers the precision and handling Bergara's known for—just engineered for your dimensions, not some imagined average.

Frequently Asked Questions

Who is the B-14 Stoke Compact designed for?

The Stoke is engineered for smaller-statured shooters, including young hunters, women, and anyone who values a more compact, responsive platform. The 12.25" length of pull is substantially shorter than standard rifle designs, ensuring proper fit without sacrifice.

What's the difference between the Stoke and a typical compact rifle?

Most compact rifles simply shorten the stock. The Stoke is a comprehensive redesign: shortened forend, refined grip geometry, and a negative comb angle work together to improve control, reduce recoil, and maintain accuracy. It's not just smaller—it's engineered differently.

Can I use a suppressor or muzzle brake on the .223 barrel?

Yes. The barrel is threaded 5/8"-24, a standard thread pattern that accepts suppressors, brakes, and other muzzle devices compatible with that specification.
