The Auto-Ordnance 1911 A1 "Cold Dead Hands" .45 ACP pistol is a full-size, American-made 1911 built on a proven platform and finished with custom Cerakote in a weathered blend of Light Sand and Plum Brown. This 5-inch barrel model carries symbolic engraving—a coiled serpent and skull on the aluminum grips, "Shall not be infringed" on the left side of the slide, and "76" circled with thirteen stars on the right—making it a working pistol with commemorative character that appeals to shooters who value heritage and principle alongside performance.

Built entirely in the United States, this .45 ACP combines the time-tested 1911 A1 ergonomics with modern refinements: TruGlo day sights for reliable target acquisition, a full-length guide rod for consistent cycling, a match-grade barrel for accuracy, a high-sweep beavertail to protect your hand, a skeletonized trigger for a cleaner break, checkered front strap and serrated, ported slide for control and handling. At 2.3 lbs and 8.6 inches overall, it balances the classic 1911's heft and pointability with practical carry and range use. One 7-round magazine ships with the gun.

Whether you're a 1911 purist, a serious .45 ACP shooter, or someone who appreciates American-made firearms with a message, the Cold Dead Hands model delivers the classic single-action trigger, reliable recoil management, and everyday carry profile that has made the 1911 platform the choice of shooters and professionals for over a century. This isn't a safe queen—it's a fighting pistol with purpose.
