The ATI Nomad SGS 20GA single shot shotgun brings back the simplicity and discipline of classic shotgunning. Whether you're reintroducing yourself to break-action fundamentals or introducing a new shooter to the sport, this 26-inch barrel 20-gauge delivers the kind of straightforward, reliable performance that's defined American hunting for generations. The exposed hammer, single-shot design forces intentional shooting—one trigger pull, one pellet string, no shortcuts. It's the kind of gun that builds good habits and respect for the trigger.

Built on a break-open action that's intuitive to operate and maintain, the Nomad SGS features a black synthetic stock and forend that stand up to field use without the fuss of traditional wood. The blue finish pairs clean lines with practical durability. At 4.95 pounds and 41.5 inches overall, it handles like a shotgun should—nimble enough for brush and timber, balanced enough for a full day in the field. The 3-inch chamber gives you flexibility in load selection, while the bead front sight keeps your focus where it needs to be: on the bird or target.

This is honest, no-frills shotgunning. No programmable chokes, no semi-auto complexity, no magazine to maintain. Just a gun that does one thing supremely well: fire when you pull the trigger. The black rubber buttpad absorbs recoil and won't slip on your shoulder in the field. American Tactical built the Nomad SGS for hunters and shooters who value reliability, straightforward operation, and a rifle-like accuracy that comes only when every shot counts.

Frequently Asked Questions

What is a single shot shotgun good for?

Single shot shotguns excel for hunters and shooters who value discipline and accuracy over volume of fire. They're ideal for upland bird hunting, small game, clay target work, and training new shooters on proper technique. The one-shot-per-load design teaches trigger control and forces deliberate shooting—you can't rely on a follow-up round.

Is 20 gauge suitable for hunting?

Yes. The 20 gauge is a proven hunting round, particularly effective for upland birds, small game, and medium-range waterfowl work with appropriate loads. The lighter recoil also makes it more manageable for younger or smaller-framed shooters over a full day in the field.

What does a 3-inch chamber mean?

A 3-inch chamber means the barrel safely accepts standard 2.75-inch shotgun shells and the longer 3-inch magnum loads, giving you flexibility in ammunition selection based on your hunting or shooting situation.

Is the Nomad SGS easy to operate and maintain?

Yes. The break-open action is straightforward to load, unload, and clean. There are no springs or complex mechanisms to foul or maintain—exactly what makes single shot shotguns popular for new shooters and field hunters who want simplicity and reliability.
