The ATI GSG M1911 .22LR pistol in tan finish brings the iconic 1911 profile to a caliber that's perfect for learning, plinking, and low-recoil practice. This .22LR semi-automatic reimagines a legendary platform in a more affordable, softer-shooting package—ideal for shooters who want the ergonomics and controls of a full-size 1911 without the snap of centerfire rounds. Whether you're introducing someone to handguns, running drills at the range, or just enjoying a day of casual shooting, the GSG M1911 delivers reliable operation and that unmistakable 1911 feel.

Built by American Tactical Imports, this pistol respects the original design while optimizing it for .22 rimfire reliability. The tan frame and slide give it a practical, rugged aesthetic that works both at the range and in the field. A 5-inch barrel provides the sight radius and velocity you'd expect from a full-size 1911, while the 10-round magazine keeps you shooting longer between reloads—a nice advantage when you're loading cheap, abundant .22LR ammo.

The 3-dot sight system is straightforward and proven, letting you focus on fundamentals without complexity. Wood grips with a black coating add traditional 1911 character while staying practical. As a single-action design, the GSG M1911 operates with the clean trigger break that 1911 shooters know and trust. It's a no-nonsense option for anyone seeking a softer-recoiling 1911 platform that doesn't compromise on controls or ergonomics.

Frequently Asked Questions

Is this a good .22LR pistol for learning 1911 controls?

Absolutely. The GSG M1911 maintains all the controls and ergonomics of a standard 1911—safety, grip angle, trigger action—but in a much softer-shooting package. It's an excellent platform for developing fundamentals and practice without the recoil of centerfire calibers.

What's the magazine capacity?

The GSG M1911 ships with a 10-round magazine, which is practical for .22LR shooting where ammo is inexpensive and abundant.

Can I use this pistol for plinking and casual range time?

Yes. The low recoil, soft report, and proven 1911 ergonomics make it ideal for range sessions and recreational shooting. The 5-inch barrel and 3-dot sights are reliable for target work at typical handgun distances.

What sights does it have?

The GSG M1911 is equipped with a 3-dot sight system—front and rear dots for straightforward sight picture and quick alignment.
