The Arsenal Sam5 5.56mm rifle represents serious AK engineering for shooters who want proven Eastern Bloc reliability in a modern platform. Built on a milled receiver forged and heat-treated by Arsenal's Bulgarian factory, the Sam5 combines authentic high-quality construction with 922(r) compliance and US-market practicality. This is a rifle engineered for decades of dependable service, not a bargain import or compromise build.

What sets the Sam5 apart is its milled receiver blank—hot-die hammer forged by a 5-ton process rather than machined from bar stock. That forging eliminates internal voids and cooling deformations, producing finer-grained steel and unmatched strength. The cold hammer-forged 16.3-inch barrel is hard-chrome plated and threaded for the included AK-351 muzzle brake. Over 5.5 hours of precision milling goes into each receiver before assembly, a level of attention to detail you won't find in economy AKs. The rifle ships with plum polymer furniture, an intermediate-length trapdoor buttstock (13.4 inches length of pull), an AK scope rail for optics mounting, FIME's Enhanced Fire Control Group, a 30-round magazine, sling, cleaning kit, and oil bottle.

Whether you're building a 5.56 AK collection, setting up a reliable intermediate rifle for training or hunting, or looking for a firearm with genuine collector appeal, the Sam5 delivers. It's sought-after for good reason: real forged steel, authentic design, and the kind of durability that passes generations.
