The serrations are intentionally blunt, so they won't damage your gear or hands. Every corner is radiused and every edge chamfered for a refined finish that reflects the engineering that went into it. The rail is made to the RRS 1.5" dovetail standard, so standard lever clamps remain compatible even if they won't lock without the Area 419 clamp. Type 3 hard-coat anodizing protects the aluminum from wear and weather.
Installation uses up to four attachment points on your action for maximum strength and stability. The package includes M-Lok hardware, an extended-length Remington 700-style action screw for the front attachment point, and tee nuts for other mounting locations. Depending on your rifle's stock configuration, you may need to drill holes for tee nuts and possibly trim the action screw—a 3/4" paddle bit and drill press may be required. Spacers are available separately if your stock has a non-flat forend.
