The Anderson Manufacturing AM15 5.56 Frontline Pistol is a short-barreled rifle (SBR) or pistol-configured AR-15 built on a foundation of law enforcement testing and real-world tactical refinement. With its 10.5-inch barrel, carbine-length gas system, and full quad-rail handguard, this is a compact, adaptable platform for shooters who need precision in tight quarters—whether you're running drills at the range, training for home defense, or setting up a configurable tactical setup.

Anderson Manufacturing engineered the Frontline series by collecting data from rigorous training evolutions and accuracy testing developed for their law enforcement Defender lineup, then tuned the specs for civilian shooters. The result is a duty-driven rifle with controlled recoil impulse thanks to a matched H2 weight buffer system and low-profile carbine gas setup. The 9.5-inch free-float quad-rail handguard isolates the barrel from the furniture, promoting accuracy while giving you Picatinny real estate at 12, 3, 6, and 9 o'clock—plus four quick-detach sling sockets for rapid attachment changes. Forged 7075 T6 aluminum upper and lower receivers with Type 3 hard anodize finish provide durability and corrosion resistance, while the 4150 chrome-moly vanadium barrel (nitride-finished) and 9310 steel bolt deliver reliability under sustained fire.

Ergonomics are handled by a Magpul K2 grip and MOE SL carbine stock, keeping your hands comfortable during extended shooting sessions. The breek Arms Warhammer ambidextrous charging handle works equally well for left- and right-handed shooters. A standard M16-profile bolt carrier group and A2 flash hider round out the package. This is a serious, configurable platform for anyone who values American manufacturing, proven design, and the flexibility to adapt their rifle to mission-specific needs.

Frequently Asked Questions

What's the barrel length and how does it affect accuracy or ballistics?

The Frontline Pistol features a 10.5-inch barrel in 5.56 NATO with a 1:7 twist rate. This shorter length makes the rifle compact and maneuverable, ideal for close-quarters work, home defense, or training where portability matters. The 1:7 twist is designed to stabilize a wide range of 5.56 bullet weights.

Is this suitable for long-range shooting or tactical training?

The 10.5-inch barrel length is optimized for shorter-range applications where compactness and rapid target acquisition are priorities. It's well-suited to tactical drills, training courses, and defensive scenarios. For long-range precision work, longer barrels are typically preferred.

What sling and rail attachments does this come with?

The Frontline features a 9.5-inch free-float quad-rail handguard with Picatinny rail space at 12, 3, 6, and 9 o'clock positions along its length, plus four quick-detach sling sockets (two on the front, two on the rear). The firearm ships with these built-in—you can add optics, lights, and slings using standard QD mounts.

Can left-handed shooters run this rifle comfortably?

Yes. The Breek Arms Warhammer charging handle is ambidextrous, meaning it operates smoothly from both sides. The open trigger guard also provides access for southpaw shooters. The Magpul K2 grip is reversible on most AR platforms, though you should verify compatibility during setup.
