The Alex Pro Firearms DMR 2.0 in 6.5 Grendel is a purpose-built rifle for shooters who demand precision at distance without the complexity of larger cartridges. Built on a billet upper and lower receiver, this 18-inch rifle combines a lightweight profile with the ballistic advantages of 6.5 Grendel—a round that delivers flat trajectories and excellent energy retention past 500 yards while remaining comfortable to shoot and control. Whether you're setting up for long-range hunting, precision rifle competition, or extended-range training, the DMR 2.0 gives you a modern, modular platform that handles real-world conditions.

The heart of this build is a quality foundation: a 416 stainless steel barrel pairs with a rifle-length gas system and nickel boron bolt carrier group for reliability and longevity. The 15-inch M-LOK handguard gives you plenty of rail space to mount glass, lasers, or tactical accessories without excess weight. A Butcher muzzle brake tames recoil and helps you manage follow-up shots, while the CMC 3.5-pound single-stage flat trigger breaks crisp and predictable—ideal for precision work. Controls are intuitive: the ERGO Suregrip delivers a solid purchase in rough terrain, and the Magpul ACS adjustable stock lets you dial in length of pull and cheek height for different shooting positions and gear configurations.

The 24-round capacity keeps you in the fight, and the black finish is ready for duty in field or range. This isn't a show rifle—it's a working rifle built for shooters who understand that precision and practicality aren't mutually exclusive.

Frequently Asked Questions

What is 6.5 Grendel good for?

6.5 Grendel is a mid-range cartridge that splits the difference between standard rifle rounds and magnum cartridges. It delivers excellent ballistics and energy retention at distance—suitable for hunting medium game and long-range target shooting—with less recoil and less flinch-inducing behavior than larger calibers. It's also highly accurate in properly tuned rifles.

Is the 18-inch barrel suitable for hunting?

Yes. The 18-inch barrel in 6.5 Grendel provides a good balance of velocity, handling, and portability. Barrel length affects velocity and trajectory, but at typical hunting ranges, an 18-inch 6.5 Grendel barrel delivers the power and range needed for medium-game hunting and precision target work.

Can I customize this rifle with M-LOK accessories?

Absolutely. The 15-inch M-LOK handguard is designed to accept a wide range of M-LOK-compatible accessories, including light mounts, rail panels, bipod attachments, and sling hardware. M-LOK is a modular mounting standard that gives you flexibility to build the rifle to your specific needs.
