However, Mossberg 500 and Maverick 88 shotguns manufactured after March 2020 may require a separate forend slide assembly from Mossberg or a parts supplier before installation. The EX Forend is compatible with the Mossberg Shockwave platform, but Adaptive Tactical does not recommend its use on the Shockwave due to potential safety concerns with hand positioning near the muzzle during extreme use.
