The Riton Optics X5 Conquer 5-25x50mm scope is a first focal plane rifle scope built for hunters and precision shooters who need serious reach without sacrificing close-range speed. The 34mm tube delivers a clean optical path and plenty of adjustment room, while the 5-to-25 power magnification range handles everything from 100-yard hunting shots to extended-range precision work. If you're running a modern tactical rifle, AR platform, or long-action hunting rig, this scope bridges the gap between versatility and performance.

What sets the Conquer apart is smart engineering in the details. The R5 Zero Stop turrets let you index your zero and lock it—dial up and down for wind and elevation, then snap back to center confident you'll be dead on. The integrated throw lever speeds up mag changes when you need them, and the illuminated BAF reticle gives you aiming points in low light without the battery dependency of some illuminated designs. Six brightness levels let you dial the illumination between full brightness and off, so you're not stuck with a hot or dark picture.

Riton assembled this in an EP-Level Clean Room and built it tough—waterproof, fogproof, shockproof to 1200 Gs, and wrapped in aircraft-grade 6061-T6 aluminum. The fully multi-coated optics and waterproof lens coating help gather light and cut glare in field conditions. Fast-focus eyepiece means you can lock your diopter and stay sharp without fiddling. Parallax adjustment runs from 10 yards to infinity, letting you dial out parallax error and keep shots clean at distance.

This is the kind of scope that works as hard as you do—no hype, no marketing noise, just solid glass and controls that feel right under your thumb. If you're hunting elk at 300 yards or stretching a prairie dog rig to 600, the Conquer has the magnification, the reticle, and the turret feel to get there.

Frequently Asked Questions

What's the difference between FFP and second focal plane, and does it matter for hunting?

This scope uses a first focal plane (FFP) reticle, meaning the reticle size scales with magnification—your holdovers and wind marks work the same whether you're at 5x or 25x. That's valuable if you're hunting at variable distances or in situations where you can't dial your turrets. With an SFP scope, holdovers only work accurately at one specific power. For hunting and field shooting, FFP is the more versatile setup.

Will this scope work on my AR-15 or will I need rails and rings?

The Conquer has a 34mm tube, so you'll need 34mm scope rings and a compatible mounting solution on your rifle. AR-15s and most hunting rifles support 34mm mounts, but check your upper receiver or rail system to confirm. The scope itself doesn't come with rings or a mount—just the optic and lens covers.

What's included in the box?

You get the scope, flip-up lens covers front and rear, a lens cloth, and an Allen wrench for turret adjustments. Scope rings, a base, and a mount are not included.

How far can I realistically shoot with this scope?

The 25x magnification and parallax adjustment to infinity support long-range shooting well beyond 500 yards, but real-world distance depends on your rifle, ammo, skill, and lighting. The 5x end makes it quick and easy for close-range hunting shots. This is built for working across a wide range of distances rather than being locked into a single use case.
