The Christensen Arms Ridgeline FFT 6.5-284 Norma bolt-action rifle brings purpose-built precision to long-range hunting without the weight penalty that usually comes with premium accuracy. Built on a modern 6.5-284 platform and engineered with carbon fiber construction throughout, this rifle sheds unnecessary ounces while keeping the sub-MOA accuracy promise Christensen is known for. The green stock with black and tan webbing gives it a distinct field-ready look, and the FFT (Flat-Fore-Traction) carbon fiber design means you're carrying a rifle that performs at distance without dragging through the field.

The barrel is where this rifle earns its reputation: a 416R stainless steel core wrapped in Christensen's Aerograde carbon fiber, hand-lapped and button-rifled with a match chamber for consistency. That same attention to detail extends to the action—a billet aluminum bottom metal with an FFT hinged floor plate and improved bolt release for smoother operation in the field. The side-baffle brake (removable) manages recoil effectively, and the Trigger Tech trigger breaks cleanly and predictably. All of it rides on natural stainless action paired with that distinctive green composite stock, bedded with stainless steel pillars for rock-solid lock-up.

This is a thinking hunter's rifle: built for backcountry glassing and mountain work where every pound matters, yet engineered to deliver consistent accuracy at distance. The 4-round internal magazine (3 with magnum cartridges) keeps the profile compact, and the standard 6-48 Rem 700 optics base means scope integration is straightforward. Whether you're setting up for elk season or dialing in a long-range precision load, the Ridgeline FFT rewards the time you invest in understanding its capabilities.

Frequently Asked Questions

What scope base is compatible with the Ridgeline FFT?

The rifle features a standard 6-48 Rem 700 optics base, so it's compatible with standard Remington 700 picatinny mounts and rings designed for that platform.

How much lighter is the Ridgeline FFT compared to traditional heavy hunting rifles?

The Ridgeline FFT is engineered with carbon fiber throughout to reduce weight significantly—up to a full pound lighter than comparable rifles—making it ideal for hunters who need to cover distance on foot in backcountry terrain.

What's included with the rifle?

The Ridgeline FFT includes the rifle with sporter-style carbon fiber stock, removable side-baffle brake, Christensen Arms FFT carbon fiber bolt knob, and all standard action components. Scope and mounting base are not included.

Is the 6.5-284 Norma the right choice for long-range hunting?

The 6.5-284 Norma is a capable long-range cartridge that balances velocity, ballistics, and recoil management. Christensen Arms built the Ridgeline FFT specifically in this caliber for precision shooters pursuing distance shooting and long-range hunting applications.
