The Rock Island Armory ArmsCor .22 TCM 1911 pistol is a modern take on the classic 1911 platform, chambered in the specialized .22 TCM cartridge. Built on a 2140 ordnance steel frame refined through hand fitting, this 4.25-inch barreled pistol delivers the high-velocity performance the .22 TCM is known for, with minimal recoil and plenty of speed downrange. If you're looking for a 1911 that handles hot, zippy ammunition in a compact footprint without the brutal impulse of larger calibers, this is a serious alternative for shooters who want precision and shootability in one package.

The TCM Rock Standard comes outfitted with practical sights right out of the box—a fixed dovetail fiber optic front and an adjustable rear—so you can get on target without hunting for aftermarket glass. The double-stack magazine well holds 17 rounds, giving you capacity that punches above the weight class for a single-stack platform look. The skeletonized hammer and trigger pair with an adjustable over-travel stop for a crisp, tunable trigger pull, while low-profile anti-snag sights keep the pistol snag-free for carry or range work.

Finished in parkerized coating and fitted with checkered polymer grips, the ArmsCor balances durability with control. At just over 8 inches overall and weighing in lean, it's a handy size for the range, training, or as a dedicated .22 TCM platform if you want to explore what this cartridge can do. This isn't a concealable pocket gun—it's a full-frame 1911 in a niche caliber for shooters who understand the appeal of speed, accuracy, and something genuinely different.

Frequently Asked Questions

What makes the .22 TCM different from standard .22 ammunition?

The .22 TCM is a specialized cartridge designed to deliver higher velocities and energy than conventional .22 ammunition. This ArmsCor pistol is built specifically for the factory .22 TCM round, allowing you to take advantage of the cartridge's ballistic profile and performance potential.

Does this 1911 come ready to shoot out of the box?

Yes. The pistol ships with fixed fiber optic front and adjustable rear sights already installed, so you can get to the range without additional sight purchases. The trigger is tuned and includes an adjustable over-travel stop if you want to fine-tune it further.

Is the double-stack magazine well standard on this model?

Yes. The TCM Rock Standard features a double-stack magazine well that accommodates the 17-round magazines, giving it significantly higher capacity than a traditional single-stack 1911.

What's the overall size and is it suitable for carry?

At 8 inches overall length and 1.41 inches wide, this is a full-frame 1911 platform—compact compared to some full-size pistols, but not designed as a concealed-carry gun. It's well-suited for range time, training, and dedicated .22 TCM shooting.
