The Anderson Manufacturing AM-15-BR M4 is a no-nonsense AR-15 rifle in 5.56 NATO built for shooters who want to get to the range without breaking the bank. This entry-level semi-automatic rifle delivers the core features you actually need—forward assist, dust cover, and a solid platform for optic mounting—without the price premium of name-brand alternatives. Whether you're new to the AR platform, setting up a budget range gun, or adding to your collection, the AM-15-BR gives you a reliable, American-made foundation that's ready to run as soon as you mount glass.
Built on 7075-T6 forged aluminum receivers, the AM-15-BR uses an M16-pattern bolt carrier group and comes with a standard charging handle for familiar operation. The 16-inch M4 contour barrel is rifled at 1:8 twist and topped with an A2 flash hider, keeping muzzle blast and signature in check on the line. A low-profile gas block feeds the system, while the A2 plastic handguard and grip maintain that classic AR ergonomics without unnecessary weight. At 6.2 pounds unloaded, the rifle balances controllability with manageability, and it ships with one 30-round magazine to get you started.
The Anderson AM-15-BR comes as a complete rifle—no gunsmithing or assembly required. What you won't find is a front sight or optic mount pre-installed, which means you have total freedom to choose the glass and mounting solution that fits your mission, whether that's a budget red dot for defensive work, a mid-range LPVO for hunting, or a precision scope for reaching out on steel. This is a rifle that rewards you for thinking about your setup instead of paying for features you don't want.

Frequently Asked Questions
What does the AM-15-BR come with, and what do I need to add to shoot?
The rifle ships complete and ready to fire—just add ammunition and an optic of your choice. It includes one 30-round magazine and a charging handle. There is no front sight or optic mount pre-installed, so you'll need to select and mount your own glass based on your intended use.
Is the AM-15-BR suitable for a beginner or first AR-15?
Yes. The AM-15-BR is designed as an entry-level rifle, with proven AR ergonomics, a lightweight platform at 6.2 pounds, and features like the forward assist and dust cover that make it a solid learning rifle without a steep price. Familiarity with AR safety, function, and maintenance is still important, regardless of rifle tier.
What caliber is the AM-15-BR, and can I shoot both .223 and 5.56?
The AM-15-BR is chambered in .223 Remington / 5.56 NATO. The rifle will safely fire both commercial .223 and 5.56 NATO ammunition, though always follow manufacturer guidance and verify ammunition compatibility before loading.
Can I mount a scope or red dot to the AM-15-BR?
The AM-15-BR has no front sight and no pre-installed optic mount, which means you have complete flexibility to add the mounting solution and glass that suits your mission—whether a budget red dot for close work, a versatile LPVO, or a precision scope for longer ranges.
